The capacity to connect with individuals in different parts of the organisation to develop levels of trust, security, and honesty is now the most crucial aspect of ensuring you don't stay behind your silos. So, whether we operate from home or in a regular office building, there are certain easy steps we can take to make cooperation better, more simple, and more productive for us all.

First and foremost, spend time getting to know someone you don't normally work with, or someone who works in a different department. So, try to keep some time in your weekly schedule to nurture that new friendship. So much of the complication we encounter at workplaces rises due to unfamiliarity, misunderstandings and a lack of productive communication. As a result, the better we get to know others, the easier it will be to maintain such relationships.

The second step is to ensure that you form relationships based on trust and genuine honesty, and that you create safe spaces in which you can be open and honest with one another, sharing your genuine concerns, misunderstandings, thoughts, and understandings. Because, once again, the more honest you are with people, the less energy and time we spend attempting to deceive one another, and the more time we spend focusing on what we can do to help one another.

That brings me to my third and final point: make sure you have the confidence to admit your own strengths and weaknesses, as well as to build on and understand the strengths and weaknesses of others.
Workplaces that are mature, and dynamic are those where, no matter where you are in the hierarchy, everyone supports each other and works towards the organisationโs goal as a team.
